Wow, we have a lot of photos. Also, jet lag really does a number on ya! Typically I am pumped to work through a wackload of photos but I feel like I can barely think 20 minutes ahead or spell my name so doing more complicated tasks isn't flying. So I've decided to take it a day at a time. It'll draw it out a little and give me time to process through everything as well. It really does feel like a whirlwind in retrospect and I feel like I need time to ingest and dwell on everything we packed into that month. I want to do it justice. So here I start, with day 1...a full, exciting, and exhausting day exploring some hot spots in Tokyo.
First stop: Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building for a 360 view of Tokyo. I have never seen a city so sprawling. It's hard to comprehend.
Second stop: Shibuya crossing.
Third stop: Katsu for lunch. Panko deep fried things (typically pork). Delicious!
Fourth stop: Yoyogi park and Meiji Shrine. We also explored Harajuku near here a bit. Of all the shopping availabilities, I bought Washi tape...
Fifth stop: a nap in which we overslept...
Sixth stop: Dinner and exploring a bit of Kichijoji, a hip suburb of Tokyo.
