Our small group went camping out at Two Jack Lake for the second year last weekend. While it was just as beautiful, it was much colder thanks to the bizarre early September snowstorm that Calgary received. After braving it for 24 hours, wrapping up in 20 items of clothing, resisting going to the bathroom as long as possible, and burning our mitts on the fire... we decided to call it a weekend. We packed up our site and tried to fight our endless shivering and smokey scent at the hot springs. We ended the evening with flatbread in Canmore and happily cozied up in our own beds that night. Hilarious and meaningful conversation, delicious food, gorgeous snowy mountains surrounding us...the cold didn't diminish the loveliness of those days.
